Zazu

Zazu is a roadhouse restaurant surrounded by 150 of sonoma county’s acclaimed wineries. The zazu kitchen is inspired by the thoroughly American and deep Italian roots of Sonoma County’s wine growing families. The food is innovative but approachable, yet heavily based in combinations that have a culinary history and that work. The nightly changing menus are put together after much thought and research. Our kitchen emphasizes ingredients grown within a 50 mile radius of the restaurant unless a premium product is unavailable to us locally. We seek to do the same with our wine list, emphasizing nearby wineries (we are in the heart of the Russian River Appelation) so that visitors to the area can enjoy limited production wines, often impossible to find outside of Sonoma County. At the same time, much of our clientele consists of locals involved in the wine industry. For them, we keep things interesting by bringing in a few wines from elsewhere that we feel are stellar within their category and in their price-to-quality ratio. Our menu is conceived, designed, and printed daily based on what's fresh in the market and what inspires us. From 50 to 70 guests may be accommodated for private events depending on the seating configuration.
